Linked to the vivacious city of Istanbul, Theta Architects began with a dream shared by Mohammad Qadriah and Razan Alhusaini. As a duo, Mohammad Qadriah and Razan Alhusaini were a married couple with a shared dream—to design spaces that were more than just buildings. Before the two would, in 2017, become the co-founders of Theta Architects, they had been working under the Qadriah Architecture and Construction label, establishing their name with a reputation for detailed and innovative design. They rebranded to inscribe a new manifesto of architecture under the name ‘Theta,’ meaning potential and possibility.

Success? It came with their breakthrough: a contemporary, functional residence for a young couple in Istanbul. They followed it with numerous other projects from all parts of MENA and Europe. One of them is a workplace for a collaboration centre for a Swedish tech start-up, and another proves that they could blend good design with functionality. Mohammad and Razan ensured their belief in sustainability and community engagement. They encouraged designs that motivated young architects through workshops and seminars. Their projects were internationally recognized because they succeeded in competitions full of challenges, excellence, and innovation.

Today, Theta Architects has delivered more than 200 successfully implemented projects. Currently, more than five architects are part of the team, each with a minimum of seven years of practical experience. This is the legacy of Mohammad and Razan. This duo has changed the way the design scene looks by incorporating their creative designs into sustainable development, and the dream continues—one design at a time.
